I have a 1996 Audi A4 quattro Automatic 2.8l and i went to pick someone up which took one hour to drive there.It was about -12 c that day ..so when i stop the car turn off the motor and then after he got in ( took about 1 or 2 minutes) I tried to start my car and just the motor turns but no fire
so i got a code P1504
tested
the fuel pump works
the idle control valve voltage good

what is causing this?
please reply because its been 10 days without a car and I have no money
so i need to fix it myself

P1504 is an air intake bypass leak code. In otherwords you have a vacuum leak somewhere, doubt that that would cause a no start condition though, there must be some other issue.

 

No other codes are coming up ...do not know

 

Will it start with a shot of starting fluid into the intake? Do you have a way of checking for spark, short of holding the wire while someone else cranks it?
