does anyone know if a "557 N" computer would work in my 97 opposed to a "557 P"?

i looked at some pics i took when i installed a new stereo. looks like one of the numbers sequences on my ecu is
261 284 178/179 and its a bosch made in germany

and this is the one i want to buy:


those numbers match up, i just dont know if mine is p or n

so i have an "N" computer in my car. i checked this am. gonna try and get the funds together and buy this ecu. Also going to making a custom test pipe/down pipe.
