1998 audi A4 quattro exterior light problems

Default 1998 audi A4 quattro exterior light problems

i need help guys... im stumped. my tail lights which are the brake lights on my car always stay on, even after i turn the car off. i have to unhook the positive battery plug when i park the car for the night. also, the front right running light stays on when the car is off. this just started happening and i need help. thank you guys

Your brake lights work even with the ignition off. I'd take a good look at the switch on your brake pedal. It's either toast, or it's out of adjustment so that it's always connected.

But would that control the running light too? I mean, I have no idea, just curious.

Missed that little tidbit. I'd still start with that brakelight switch, but that really should have no connection with the clearance light in the fender.

i can't tell from your post, but is it the brake lights that are in or just the tails?
