1999 a4 quattro 1.8t aeb driveline HELP NEEDED!
so i got the bluaparts driveline rebuild kit cuz my driveline has a clicking sound like if someone was hitting a metal pipe with another piece of metal??
so i was able to take the six bolts from the end of the driveline connected to the transmission and this is what i found (1st pic) all the grease had turned into rubber!! but managed to get all the bolts execpt 3 of them on the rear of the driveline!! stripped two of the bolts and not sure how to remove them since room is limited and they're tourqued to around 42 or 44 ft lb
any ideas or a site ??

good news!
ended up having to grind the last bolts off.
so i had the car on 4 ramps and searched for the longest time how to move the driveline without having to lift all four tires off the ground?
it might be simple but hey i didnt know how?? lol
i guess if you get one of the rear tires lifted just so its no longer on the ramp all you do next is disengage ebrake then go under and turn the driveline so u can reach the next bolt to loosen or tighten just go back in the car and pull ebrake up again to stop the driveline from moving. simple.
second i found out that my u joint didnt have any clips holding it in place
it was crimped under pressure so i didnt want to mess with that?
and since mine was still good i kept it
so i changed both bearings and the center bearing which looks tricky but wasnt all that bad
but driveline is back on the car and no more clicking sounds from under the car! =) love my audi
