2.8 L tune

Default 2.8 L tune

Hey guys ,I have a audi 2001 a4 2.8 L v6 na. ,5 spd. owned for a month,I have a question on tuning, I have found a guy that tunes for about $ 395.00 to tune my car.(18hp+22lbs) he changes timing ,air/fuel with a program into my ecu. has anyone had this done to there 2.8L na engine and if so was it wourth it?how can I tell if a program is already in or not?

It is generally regarded as a waste of money.

If you want to get into engine mods, buy a 1.8t.

thanks redline380.We really didn't want a turbo, its our first 4 door car , have a kid now.so we went with a v6 something I can work on.I geuss we leave it alone than.maybe the next audi.

The 1.8 is a better engine IMO. Easier to work on considering more room. I would look into it if I were you but the 2.8 is generally thought of as the more reliable engine.
