It almost looks like you put Seafoam in the engine with the amount of white smoke.... But, of course, you didn't. The engine didn't sound so good either. There shouldn't be that "rattling" noise. If I recall correctly, white smoke = burning oil? Blue smoke = burning coolant? Can anyone validate?

M3Armond, you are exactly backwords.... White smoke = burning coolant, Blue smoke = Burning oil. That rattling in the engine sounds like a chain tensioner. When warmed up, did the smoking stop?

The "smoke" looks like condensation that u get on a cold day, but that noise is not good sounding I might have to agree with the cam chain tensioner being bad. How does the serpentine belt tensioner look it can also make that noise

the temperature gauge needle was not in the middle all winther. the mecanic replaced the thermostat and gasket ($120), the engine was cooling down to much. i remember having a check engine code about that in the summer. the car is fine for now thank you!
