Default 2000 A4 Head Gasket

I'm going to try to replace the head gasket on a 2000 A4, what am I getting into? Is there anything else I should replace while I'm replacing the gasket?

mainly all the other gaskets that you will be removing, why are you doing the head gasket?

What he said. That's not a common problem on these cars.

What motor?

there is coolant in your oil? ok ( hoping that you dont have the wrong coolant in your car NO GREEN COOLANT!!!) pop open the coolant reservior, see if your coolant looks like a " milshake" it will look all oily and gross like a milk shake from the gutter

if thats the case... its not a head gasket thats your oil cooler that failed internally
