2001 A4 cupholder.

2001 A4 cupholder.
I got out the cup holder tray, and see where the disconnected parts go. Obviously the spring connects to the housing, which I don't see how to remove.
Anyone know how to get that plastic box out of the dash?
Any advice on how to put things together would be a help, too.
