Well I have some rust on the rear driver side door and I am looking at used doors and wondering what other years will fit on my 01, and also if a s4 door will work... basically I need a rear driver side door and trunk lid.... thanks for the help

 

Any door from a facelift B5 should work fine. Don't get a pre-facelift door - the handles are different.

 

Facelift is that 2000 plus? Also I have my doorhandles or is it a different placement on pre facelift?

 

Facelift is 99.5+. the door handles are shaped and (possibly) sized differently.

 

I found a mint 2000 s4 door... will that fit?? its just the frame and shell I will be switching over all my internals and door panel?? any help?

Good point - the lower molding on an S4 is painted body color. That part is different.

 

So will it work and look ok or should I wait for a a4 part?? its a good price... all of my molding is ok so I think I can switch it over??? Where in Binghamton you from... I live in Auburn and just picked this audi up a few weeks ago.... thanks for the help

 

It'd bolt up perfectly but the lower molding will be slightly different in color. You could probably swap your lower molding onto the S4 door. Looking at a picture of my friend's S4, I don't see any other differences but there's the chance that something could be. Your interior panel and door internals should transfer easily.
