Default 2001 Audi A4 1.8t climate control not working

My climate control does not work. The head unit does not light up and does not blow any air whatsoever. The buttons do light up when I turn on my headlights however. Fuse #25 is fine but fuse #5 keeps blowing.

This is very similar to another post made by someone else ( brico is the user's name) that can be found by going to my posts as I have commented on it. Their solution did not work for me but maybe I did something wrong.

The guy I bought it from put in an aftermarket stereo and some subwoofers but I did disconnect the stereo from the wiring harness and the fuse still popped. He said that when he was putting it in he saw a spark so he took the fuse out. He then was telling me a head unit was only $70 to replace so I have my doubts about the legitimacy of his statements.

I replaced relay #370, disconnected the head unit, disconnected the stereo, disconnected the high pressure ac sensor, and replaced the fuse every time to no avail.

Things that don't work: fog lights, heated seats, power mirrors and auto tint, oil temp guage, climate control.
If I remember anything else I will update.

Any and all suggestions or comments are welcome as it is becoming a very cold and dangerous winter with no defroster or heat.
Thank you

You have to find your short first.

Default Any idea how?

This is easier said than done considering there are multiple thinhs on fuse #5. Do I have to take apart my whole dash to start disconnecting things from the wiring harness one by one or is there another way?
