I am not as informed about the tiptronic tranny as most, but I have noticed something odd. When I hit the gas in automatic (mode), I notice it shifts kind of roughly between first and second. If I hover around 1,500 RPM, it will continue to upshift and downshift creating a jerking motion. This doesn't happen all the time (about 55 to 60 percent of the time). I have also noticed that when it shifts from third to fourth gear, it also kind of "slams" into place. You can sometimes hear it (faintly) and it is not as smooth as other gear transistions. The second problem arose after I changed the tranny oil using BlauParts equipment. Am I overreacting or does it need more tranny oil, etc.?

did you fill the tranny fluid while checking the temp of the tranny?

It had most of these problems before I changed the fluid.

Could it be the lack of transmission oil?

you need to refill the tranny while it is at a specific temp monitored by a vag.
You need more fluid is my guess. Did you also change the filter?

Might also want to remove the TCU and make sure there is no water around it.

If it does have low tranny oil, would it appear as a VAG code?

I did replace the filter.

Did you resolve the tiptronic problem as suggested? If you used another method please let me know because I'm experiencing the same issue with my audi and I haven't done anything yet.
