I just got an 01 A4. I put HID's in my crotch rocket but that was only a high and a low H7.

how many bulbs do I need for this car?

2 for low beam
2 for high
and 2 for fog??

or is it 1 for high and 1 for low and 2 for fog.

well i no your/cant have high beams in hid
also you need 1 kit for your headlights
the fogs i got no idea i dont have any mine were in my old headlights

I did it in my 01 for the low beams. You need 2 H7 conversion kits if you want to do the lows and the fogs.
Using HIDs for the hi beams would be kind of pointless unless you drive somewhere that you keep them on a lot since they have to warm up and all.

Mounting 6 ballasts seems like an impossible job to me lol. Just do your low beams. If you really want then do your fogs too but its not necessary. The high beams don't need them you can just put a sylvania silver star in them if you want a different color.
