Default yellow goop on dipstick

hey guys i got an oil min light tonight after getting off the highway so i checked the oil level. it's a little low but i found some yellow goop on the dipstick. i'm not losing coolant but i am loosing a bit of oil. lose about a quart every oil change which i think is normal considering my car has 121k and mostly city driving. so my question is, wth is the yellow goop?

You may in fact have a head gasket going bad and it may be a minor leak at this time.

What oil are you using?

sometimes if you get some condensation in the oil in the cold weather it can foam up and look a little like lemon merangue on the dipstick or around the oil cap. usualy if you run the engine up to temp for a few minuits it will evaporate. maybe try a compression test just to make sure.
