Default 2001 S4 Driveshaft Center Carrier Bearing

Can this be replaced without replacing the entire driveshaft. Audi apparently does not sell the part separately. Any hints would be appreciated...thanks

Default Center Drive Shaft Bearing

Just ordered one of these from 034

has anyone removed the old one and installed the new one?

Any DIY on it? Any tips would be appreciated before I tackle this at home

Thanks Mason

Default 034 center support

i replaced my old one with a 034 one and now after 3 months I'm back at it again. its an oem and poorly made by audi. its supposed to be a vibration dampener. the rubber material is rated only for stock horse power. 034 owns the rights to it and continue to sell the same oem one. it would be better to save your money and buy a one piece propeller shaft (drive shaft). the drive shaft shop at driveshaftshop dot com makes one. 034 also has one but no info on what its rated at for hp support. i personally haven't tried one yet from either of them but I'm looking into saving my pennies and buy a one piece since i am a stage 3 at 520hp. if you find another place that can make a custom one balanced and fits let me know. ill keep looking for other solutions. hope this helps others answer there questions regarding the center support ( dampener bearing support )

You're best off bringing it to a driveshaft shop and letting them do it, if you don't have experience in this sort of thing you should leave it to the pros. Plus they can also balance it for you.
