2014 plans
This past year I had the kevlar timing belt kit installed, replaced both front axles with raxles, had both rear axle seals replaced, replaced the fuel filter, replaced rotors and break pads all the way around, eliminated my large evap leak by replacing the gas cap (yes that's correct), replaced my spark plugs with NGK Iridium's, had my ignition coils replaced under recall from audi, installed the AWE vent boost gauge, had 35% tint installed all the way around the car, 8000K HID's, 3000K HID fogs, B6 S4 wheels, and I should be getting my krauto LED kit this week.
For 2014, I plan replacing the control arms, installing ST Coilovers, upgrading to the A8 big break kit, stainless steel break lines, test pipe, apr exhaust, Forge DV, and either chip my ecu with GIAC, or upgrading to a K04 with GIAC.
im at 155k on the motor now. if I go to the K04 with GIAC should I be worried about anything with the motor? This is going to be a fun daily driver.

If you do all of these at once, you'll save soooo much time in the long run! For example, when you change ride height with the coilovers, you need to loosen and re-torque several bolts that hold bushings. Also it's a lot easier to get the coilover in place without all the control arms in the way.
And you need to remove the brakes to do control arms... so might as well replace them while you're at it
These will be easier to get to (particularly the downpipe connection to the cat) with control arms removed... something to think about.
It would be worthwhile to check your engine's compression on each cylinder, and check for boost leaks, but otherwise you should be good to go.

I definitly was going to try and do the control arms, coildovers, and breaks at one time thinking it would be easier. due to the cost I'll have to do the test pipe and exhaust at a seperate time. i kind of wanted to do these in stages just to see what gains i could notice but getting it done at once would be easier. do i need any special tools for a boost leak? or would it cost much to get it done? if its pricy but i can do it my self that works but if its a cheap test to get done thats not an issue either.

I was just thinking about this, will I need an FMIC with these upgrades or will I want one for what I'm trying to achieve? i found one thread that suggest I would need one and looking at AWE's K04 kit they say pre 99.5 will need one.

Thanks. I'll have to keep that in the back of my mind when it comes time and ask AWE what they suggest since I'll go through them to get my GIAC tune.
