Default 5 bar fpr running at 4.4 bar

Hi all,

I have a 5 bar fpr for my k04 b5, and a fuel pressure gauge installed. It is always between 62-64 psi, or about 4.4 bar. Is this a problem?

First off, welcome!

It's hard to know if this is actually a problem or not. Assuming your engine is either AEB or ATW engine code, your car runs open-loop at full throttle. In other words, your primary O2 sensor is not used at full throttle so only the MAF is used to adjust fueling. The ECU assumes the fuel pressure is spot-on based on the tune.

Without knowing what your air-to-fuel ratio is we can't know how harmful that 0.6bar drop is. If you really want to know, get a wideband gauge/sensor and have it installed. That's what I did.
