Default 5 Bar FPR vs 4 Bar Crushed (GIAC J31)

I have a 2000 A4 1.8tqm with a K04 and GIAC J31.

I do not have the recommended 5 Bar FPR. I was curious if I could try to have a shop "crush" mine, or buy a "crushed" one instead of an actual 5 bar one, in the interest of money... As the actual 5 bar ones are quite pricy.

Can anyone confirm/deny if this would work with my setup?

Most people with ko4s and awe/giac tuning run a crushed 4bar whether they know it or not. They work just fine.

Care to elaborate?

I found out mine has a crushed 4 bar on it right now, so I think I am going to have it "tested" to see that it puts out what a 5 bar should put out.

He means buying an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and dialing it in yourself is best. I agree but the crushed 4 bar should be fine with yourr setup. You could also just grab a 5 bar out of a partout
