how about making a deal with a totalled car lot and telling them that you will pay them so you can go siphon gas from the cars? the gas becomes **** if the car isn't auctioned off fast enough anyways.

I think that they already siphon the gas from totalled cars prior to taking it to the junk yard. Wouldn't want gallons of gas leaking in their yard or blowing up do to heat or have the one guy who had to throw the cigar butt in a gas tank or on some oil. Plus, the environmentalists would go crazy.
Damn, Aspen with 5.75!? In the @$$ that is. I seriously think they should bring at least 93 octane at those prices. I mean, there's a place a half mile from my house that has 100, but freaking $7 dollars, and that was a month ago. Plus with the law stating that by 2020 or whatever year the auto manufaturers must have the avg fuel consumption at 35, man, theirs gonna be hell to pay at the pumps.
Next step to adding on price to gas: an entrance fee to get into the gas station to pay for gas. They need to start handing out cards that say fill your tank with at least 8 gallons 5 or 10 times, get one tankfull of gas free.
By the time I graduate, gas will probably be $6. Imagine, in another 10 or 20 years, were gonna have 4 digit gas prices instead of 3, and we are all gonna say to our kids "I remember the good old days when gas was $5." And the kids are gonna say "WOW! Really!? You must have driven ALL THE TIME!!!" (Family looks out at the street, which is void of cars, and sigh, as dramatic sad music plays in background.)
Excuse me while I go take a...siphon of gas. haha.

Thanks zakario. Since I have a hard time paying attention to anything, anywhere, with the exception of driving and sometimes work, I spend a lot of time coming up with stories and a lot of crazy sh*t.
$9 a gallon...I think that would mean that I would spend more than 50% of my yearly income after taxes paying for gas. May your hard earned cash serve you well, as well as your cars fuel consumption.
