Hello guys,

I was wondering if anyone had a manual for this v6 engine, the problem I have is that the throttle body is very loose where it meets the engine and is letting in air( I can hear it sucking in when i rev the engine) and also there is a short vaccum pipe coming from the bottom of the intake which goes nowere at the moment and i cant find anywere for it to go to.

Currently the throttle body is just attached with two 10mm bolts at the top but nothing at the bottom, I am assuming that this cant be right as the throttle body can easily be moved around with very little force.

Any help much appreciated.

I'd say cinch her down then son and if you can, get two more 10mm bolts. You shoudn't be able to move your throttle body around.

 

Hi there, although it is in an awkward place to get to i have had a close look although there are holes in the throttle body at the bottom they just appear to sit over two metal pins which are not threaded and are by no means a tight fit.

I am guessing that there should be something here that maybe pushes onto those pins that is missing which is why i have been trying to find an engine manual or some sort of exploded view of that part of the engine.

 

Bentley or Haynes manuals are your best bet for that.
