So I was parked on a hill and had my shifter in reverse and started my car with out pressing the clutch in and is turned over jerked backwards and then would not start again. Prior to this mishap it was starting and running just fine. Any ideas why its not turning over? Oh and I can pop the clutch and the car turns on right away. Thanks in advance

Sounds like damage to the starter or a coincidental loss of the starter relay. Fuel, air, and spark are all there or the car wouldn't run.

 

awesome, I'm going to check the starter out today. Hopefully I wont have to did too deep to find out what the deal is.

 

It was the starter I put a brand new one in a it fired right up. Thanks!
