recently my drivers side window guides both snaped. I called dealer asking about the clips and they told me that i would have to buy a whole new window regulator to fix it. Im pretty sure there bsing me, i mean its a simple little green clip.

 

I know that you are thinking i had to do the same thing to both the driver side and the passenger side windows. they only sell the whole unit not the clip. only thing in the car that isnt made to last for ever on a VAG sucks but check out ebay lot cheaper than the dealer and it only takes a an hour or two to brake it down and install a new one.

 

The job isn't hard to do, but it does suck to have to replace the whole "regulator" when it's always just the clips that get brittle. I couldn't find an alternative either.
