97 A4 2.8Q Short shifter help !
I recently bought a short shifter off ebay and I'm pretty confused on how to install it.. I found instructions but they weren't really complete. I took the stock one out fine but I need help putting the new one together. Any help, instructions and/or tips are appreciated.

this link might help you out. watch the installation video, even though it is not the same shifter, it will give you the basic breakdown of what goes where... dont get your hopes up too high about that shifter... Might not be too much tighter/ shorter throw than stock

I could put it together if i had it in my hands, but its going to be hard for people to explain it from a remote location. Its like a puzzle. Maybe contact the seller and ask if they have any diagram or anyting.
Edit: Try matching everything together so there is no play in the shaft (up and down that is). That shifter looks like it will most like not have a pushdown reverse anymore (which is fine, you just dont push down to hit reverse)

The best instructions to use are the B&M ones since the one you have is a knock-off. Used these for installing that kit on my 1.8T.
Send me a PM, and I can eMail you the PDF file, since it is no longer available on their website.
