Ok i got this super nice 97 quattro with 96k miles engine failed and i got another from 99 avant that was damaged in a wreck .The motor cranks but dosent start last day im gonna try to find the problem,if not will be on chicago's craigslist tomorow

does anyone knows where this wires go to

Can't really tell. I looked at mine (which is a 2000) and the only wires that are in that area and look anything like that seem to go towards the coolant return line on the block. I can't really tell though since there was a bunch of other stuff in the way.

 

lol this must be a joke.

i would highly recommend connecting them... its the ground wire. your car will not crank over without the ground wire connected to the body.

 

btw i would take some sand paper and clean the surface of the two flat surfaces (VERY WELL, so no paint is left...) with holes in them that are inthe picture and then just bolt them down there. your car should be good to go

 

i doubt that im getting 12v on them.12 constant on the thicker one and 12v on the other when the car is on contact im guessing i got the starter wire wrong

That's a little ungrateful for someone trying to help you out and assuming you had the rest of your wiring correct. Just sayin...

shure i should be thankful .If did what he suggested to do i could shorted my cars harness and posibly damaged it too.I guess no one here knows cars

 

If youre dumb enough to not be able to realize that youve already hooked up the ground for your battery when you went to take his advice then you really have no room to talk. You couldnt figure out that you neglected to hook up your alt, but youre probably right, nobody knows cars here
