98 2.8 coolant in Plug well

Default 98 2.8 coolant in Plug well

I keep getting coolant and or water in my spark plug well on cyl # 5. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Yeah that is what i thought, but i took it to a vw/audi shop and they tested everything and said it was coming from the top not bottom.

There's a coolant hardline that runs under the intake manifold. It's sealed by o-rings.

so what are you saying? That it is leaking into the plug well or what?

Is it hard to pull the intake manifold off. Is there any gaskets i would have to replace?

The plugs should be sealed well... there should be no way to get coolant in there not to mention when there is fluid its oil not coolant. If your getting coolant in there then my only guess is a cracked head. I think you need to pull valve covers and see whats under there. It could be cracked in a coolant passage area.

If that is the case then how come when it rains the problem gets worse?
