Default 98 2.8 QM tune up!

I want to do a tune up on my A4... its a 98 2.8 30v QM with just over 108,000 miles and its been feeling down on power lately. So ive decided to get new spark plug wires, fuel injectors, and coil packs. also i plan on doing the fuel filter asap. i want to know what you all recommend and/or have experience with.

Make sure you turn off the engine before you start.
I hope you've got your DIY permit handy too.

Disable fuel and run fuel injector cleaner directly into the fuel rail and let the car run off the cleaner only until depleted. If your timing belt and water pump hasn't been done yet i would also recommend that. Definitely an air filter, i didn't see that on your list. Also one last thing, if your car is running coil packs you wont have spark plug wires just sayin.

Timing belt, water pump, thermostat, tensoner pulleys, and both belts were done about 5k ago. I'm also running a k&n air filter, first thing I ever bought for it lol... It's the v6 so it had coilpacks mounted in front Of the engine with the plug wires to each cylinder

When you say down on power, has it thrown a check engine light ?

Skip the wires - they almost never go bad on these cars. What gap did you set on the plugs? It should be .032". Change fuel filter, clean the throttle body, clean the PCV corrugated tube, clean the air filter, adjust tire pressures as needed. See if some of that helps.

Don't forget to change the in-cabin air filter, and it wouldn't hurt to at least check the condition of your vacuum line hoses and replace those as needed.
