’98 A4 2.8 Q engine/performance mods
I have a 1998 A4 2.8 Quattro. I know its not a turbo and I wish it was <IMG src=smileys/smiley17.gif border="0"> Its still a nice and quick car. The only performance mod I really have is a drop in K&N airfilter. The car has roughly 85,000 miles on it and I am getting the timing belt replaced soon. What are some nice engine mods that I can do to my Audi? Need your input please! Thanks!</P>

Not much you can do to a 30v 2.8L unless you go large. Supercharger, altered heads, bored throttlebody. Thats all major major work.
An exhaust might give you a little boost in torque and hp. You can get a chip, but 15hp for $500 bones is too much $ in my book.

Just swung on by here and thought that I'd add that you can get a supercharger kit off the internet for £2500, includes charger, ecu, injectors etc....
Is it a done thing to have all the head work done too? how risky is it to go this route without doing it?
Just imagined if I had the cash to splash this is the first thing I'd do for cheapies.
Would I kill it off quick or are we just talking symantics with the head etc.?
