Default 98 A4 HID Problems Troubleshoot

So I bought some HID lights for my car, and after installing them they do not work. Any ideas on how to fix them? Here are the details:

98 A4 1.8Q

55W H7 Zenon lights with 55W balast
I attached a picture of exactly how it is wired in my car right now, and a kit identical to mine. I have the bulbs, the ballasts, and the black box attached to the ballast(i believe the ignitor?). Please give me some idea of how to make them work!

The picture looks correct. Only thing I can think of is you mixed the positive and negative around and you have blown the headlight fuse when trying to turn your lights on. Check your fuse box and see if your headlight fuse has blown. If so then you have wired it incorrectly.

If you're running 50w ballasts with anything but good D2S projectors everybody on the road is going to hate you. Even if you have H7 projectors you'll end up blinding everybody and then burn out the reflective coating after some time, at least step down to 35w ballasts first.

Those lights are not illegal everywhere.....blinding yes but, not illegal....maybe in your state

As For The Post....The wires on mine were right and left side....I put in new connectors and saw the difference in the right and left by one wire color.

I ran 55w hid's on my stock headlights not to long ago, lights were great and I have to say I never got beamed for bliding people. However I have purchased aftermarket projector headlights and lol I get beamed half a dozen times in a 30 minute trip. Lights however are awesome.

You can say what you what, but the fact of the matter is the electrical arc used by HIDs to make light is in a completely different position than the filament of a halogen bulb, and it's also much, much brighter and concentrated. Non-D2S projectors aren't designed to run HIDs because their cutoff shields are a different shape and the lens is designed to diffuse light, plus the arc itself is positioned differently and no longer in the focal point of the lens. Combine all that with super bright HIDs and you'll be blinding people, just less than with reflectors.

And you can say what you want and give me facts about these globes but the matter is I ran 55w HID's 10000k H7 on stock headlights and have never received a complaint about blinding NEVER and your so sure you will blind people if you don't have anything but good D2S headlights and I'm nicely telling you I used stock headlights and didn't blind anyone. So you go ahead and argue the facts this that. I'm giving you real proof from someone (me) who has used this. And your telling me "you can say what you want" then you lay some facts down. Real proof is a hell of a lot stronger than facts.

What evidence do you have that you were "not blinding people"? If your only evidence is that were not flashing their high beams at you, then that is not "proof" at all. If I flashed my highs at every glaring pnp HID kit out there, my left arm would fall off from pulling the stalk so much. People are simply looking away as you pass.

I drove 6 months with HID's and no flash, I guess I am a really really lucky guy and none of the thousands I have driven past were bothered to flash me. As I have mentioned already I have new headlights and these are blinding, on any given night I am flashed a dozen times, so I wouldn't say people are not bothered. I don't want to be arguing about this no more, I have my opinion on this and people have theirs and well I have to respect that. My opinion HID's on stock headlights are not blinding from personal experience. They may be more variables to look at other then headlight housing like the HID used (brand etc) but I'm certain my headlights did not cause blinding.
