I just got a 98 A4 Quattro with the bose sound system in it, but there is no stereo deck or cd changer in it I was wondering how I find out weather it came with the delta or concert stereo and a good place to get one used.

 

hey I am not sure how you could figure it out, i am quite sure the pin outs for the wiring harness' is the same though which means you could plug and play either cables.

I have a stock concert 1 radio from 99.5.

I don't know if it works though.. it was in a box when i bought the car and it already had a aftermarket in it.

if u wanna buy it for like $20 plus whatever shipping u want ill send it to you i am pretty sure it works just the p/o wanted a newer one.

 

There are several CD changers for sale on craigslist in Boston right now, and I think ECS Tuning had-new-in-box OEM head units for cheap within the last year..

 

I might be interested in that concert as long as you have the safe code for it. all the dealers I've tried to call want to charge some big bucks for the codes.

 

an update for the project I found a 6 cd disk changer but the mounting bracket that is on it doesn't look right. also It seems the "kid" that owned the car before me hacked apart the stock wire harness a bit and all i have is a black, multi-color, and red connector. if anyone can let me know what I need to get to bring this back to a full Stock install let me know.

hooked up the CD changer My brother gave me i'm not sure what year it came from, but when I hold the mode button and turn the stereo on it says CDC DEF. not sure what that means anyone know.
