Default '98 Audi A4 Bose Speakers

Hey everyone, i've searched the forum and found nothing. I have a '98 Audi A4 1.8T w/BOSE speakers. I was wondering, what are the sizes of the speakers in the front door, rear door and hatch?

i have blown my speakers and need to replace them ASAP.

Does anyone know what OHM and what the power output of the BOSE speakers are?\
Thanks in advance

i have a 96 w/bose, and i have 5.25" in the fronts, they are 4ohm...they have custom mounts though, you'll have to buy an adaptor if you get aftermarket speakers.

Yeah, 5.25's in the doors (check depth, though!) and 6.5"s in the rear shelf.

Too bad you blew the bose! How many of them? Sure it's not the amp?

I have the bose in my car... using an aftermarket amp, giving them TONNES Of power, and then just suck it up, and turn out amazing sound!

yea but you'll need an amp, the stock amp isn't powerful enough for subs

yea, you can tap into the low level lines going to the stock amp in the trunk...you will have to run a power cable for the amps though

yea, for sure they're popped. im not sure how though. i have a pioneer headunit which puts out 45x4 but in actuallity it's about ~20watts per channel.

I'm thinking of putting in a 4 channel amp for the door speakers and leave the rear speakers with the headunit. should i just leave the BOSE amp to power the speakers?

what would you say will reproduce the best sound?

have the bass in the trunk, so just really looking for mid-high's in the car.

Don't use the bose amp... its small.

You arent even giving the bose speakers 20 watts... cause its 4 ohms... you're prolly giving them 10, if the deck can even give them 4 ohms.

Before you toss them in the garbage, get them checked. They are worth a lot of money if they are working.

45 watt deck shouldnt be able to hurt them... I am giving my front bose speakers 150 watts RMS (300~ peak)
