Default 98 Audi a4 Quattro third brake light bulb replacement??

I have a 98 Audi A4 Quattro 1.8T and one of the bulbs of the third brake light.(center, inside the car in front of rear window) is burned out so I'm trying to figure out how to get to it. I have tried squeezing on the two textured things on either side with no luck. Please help!

I believe you have to remove the interior panel above the trunk to access the bulb. It's really not that bad.

Fold down the rear seats. Remove the child seat anchors if equipped. Then, lift up on the panel. It is held down with some plastic clips that go through the metal deck. Once it's unclipped, lift it high enough to clear the side bolsters for the rear seats and slide it toward you. You may need to unplug the brake light if you haven't already.

Thanks for the link, but on step 1, my car doesn't have those clips. I looked under and I see the bottom of the bolts and they go to under the speaker covers

The bolts being removed in Step 1 are for the child seat anchors. My car doesn't have these either. In this case, you just lift up on the panel. You will have to pull hard. The clips are only plastic, but they are held in pretty well.

How do you lift up the panel? I don't see anything to reall grab on to and when I try to I clip the clips and push up it seems like it is bolted

Fold down the seats, grab the edge of the panel, and pull up. Done.

I folded down the seats and tried pulling up on the edge but it is on tere tight, I think it is bolted somewhere but I don't have the child seat things
