Definitely agreed on all that. C2 Motorsports and Malone Tuning both offer tuning for FT but they aren't big-name companies. And I know Malone typically requires the customer to do logging to fine-tune the tune after a base file is provided. I thought Unitronics came up with a final tune (Stage 2+ or something like that) but I could be wrong.

As far as ease of install and no real need for logging or fine-tuning on your part, you definitely chose the right kit. Though I too wonder how the total kit costs versus power achieved compare...
