Hi im new to this forum so please bare with me.
Im in urgent need of some help. I recently bought an a4 tdi (ajm). It has a misfire on cyl 2
And has hardly any power. After abpur 3000 rpm it feels likebthe car is just revving but not accelerating and once the revs are up high it os heditating badly.
I have changed the injector wiring loom with no result.
Your help and advice will be greatly appreciated

Remove your valve cover and check your camshaft, lifters, and springs. You could also check compression.

 

I don't know if your motor has adjustable valves but if it does you should definitely check them for the proper clearances. If they have hydraulic lifters than the valves are basically automated and adjustment isn't required.

The misfire is specific to cyl 2 so I would definitely go ahead and do a compression check on that cylinder like Mike suggested.
