well the whole keeping clean thing is super easy just wipe it all down and with the intake runners you just have to tape them all off no removing them and i think you could pull off any color you would like to and if you do do red dont do a lot of it just hints

like on my car i am going with the silver orange white theme i ordered a orangey terracotta head liner and im gonna so my calipers in orange and etc so its your car have fun with it

I doubt you would get flamed at all........people like others thinking outside the box. I say go for it. Come this spring, I hope to paint mine body color....Pearl White

When I paint the covers do i need to use heat resistant paint? or high heat paint?

I believe high heat paint (i.e. caliper paint and engine block paint) is not necessary, but would add piece of mind. I would imagine a bit of heat would be absorbed by the cover, but not enough to ruin a paint job. Maybe others who have done this can advise to the correctness of my statement.
