I have a question how different are the A4 to the A6 on computer?
I have an A4 Avant and I have replace the transmission with an A6 transmission. The transmission are the same outside, but inside they are different, and I was told in order to make it work I need to change the ECU. So, I bought the ECU, but I am not sure why the scanner can not read it. Are they really different?

I will appreciate any help.

 

Wait... you put an a6 ecu in an a4?
I'm not a pro but that doesnt sound like it would work....

 

The engine is the same, transmission is the same. I don't see why should not work. Engine 2.8

 

What year is your A4 and what year A6 did the motor come out of? Its actually very possible that they AREN'T the same engine.

 

Both car are 2000. both cars have 2.8 engine
