didnt like the red base with the red candy color

so what do you guys think now?


i painted it chrome silver 1st as a base (doesent rub off)

then candy met red.


also which you thinks looks better the candy or the brillant chrome silver??

 

9 times out of ten, red accents on anything remind me of some "Type R" something or another (AKA: rice)...

Oh, BTW, you're missing some headlights

Yeah, I saw that thread after I posted on this one...

But, like I was saying, Audi doesn't make an A4 Type R...

 

hmm... to be honest neither of those rubbed me the right way.... maybe its cause the whole thing is that one color... maybe leave them red, and just paint the audi rings and 5v turbo black or even that silver you had painted it before (or vice versa with the silver surround and only the rings and 5v turbo red)... it just looks funny all one color to me...

 

I gotta tell ya, I came into this thinking the same thing as bradytyler, but after looking at it I'm voting for the red. Don't think I'd choose either for myself but given the choices the red looks best imo.

 

Might look better if they are black with hints of those 2 colors.

 

I think the way to pull off either look is to do quite a bit more of those pieces underhood so the whole thing comes together. I like the red but I think it'll look better with the silver if you do that, but my tastes also run more to the understated look than an in-your-face finish. I'd go with the silver and do several more parts to bring it all together.
