Default A4 Avant TDI 90 HP

hi,

We own a '98 A4 avant 1.9 TDI 90 HP. When you drive it you always get the feeling that your on the road with more power...

Now a few days ago, searching on the net for possible tuning there was an artical about "what is tuning". In the text there is a topic called "no need to tune?

In the text they use the example of the 1.9 quite often. And what do i read in that topic... They've already had quite some 1.9 90 HP's that produced 115 -118 PS !!! would it be .... :-)

Another surprizing thing they mentioned was that the TDI's in an A3, A4 and A6 ( ore the other brands that use these engines) are far from the same.

pretty amazing :-)

greetings,

Plug in electronic tuning modules always available on ebay. These claim to increase power 20-30%.They alter fuel mapping and not turbo boost.Quick fit and claim no effect on reliability so long as your car is in good shape.

For comparison, Iv'e an A4 Avant 110 redeye which has decent power yet still gets 55+mpg

be warned - much of the stuff on ebay is garbage and will either do nothing, ar harm your car.

I would suggest you go to a reputable tuner if you want to tune your car.
