Default water under the bonnet

Audi A4 Avant TDi.Has anyone had water building up under the bonnet in the space between the engine and windscreen where the battery sits?Whenever I wash the car I get about 2' of water in here.....Thanks for the replies I'll check this out. Also am after a rear light lens drivers side.<IMG src=smileys/smiley1.gif border="0"></P>

And has anyone had the service light coming on early? service light being the 'insp' red light indicating. The car was serviced 2000miles ago so this shouldn't come on until another 8000 miles.</P><edited><editID>robz</editID><editDate>37973.3417708333</editDate></edited>

And I am one of those horror stories. Sooner or later that water will get high enough to come into the cockpit of the car. If you have an automatic there is probably a TCM (transmission computer) under the passenger floor. Get enough water in the cockpitand flood the TCM and, well, welcome to my world.</P>

You'll have to pull the battery out and remove the battery tray. It will be quiteeasy to see and accessible once you pull the battery tray. Be sure to clear the whole cowl tray of leaves, etc.to prolong it happening again.</P>

yeah do that as soon as possible. There's a drain that commonly plugs up especially if you live in an area with lots of dead leaves, etc...
