I want to get a new badgeless black grill for my a4.
The only kinds that I can find are all made out of plastic.
Is this supposed to be the case?
I didn't think that they were made out of plastic, but I really don't know any better because I don't know anybody that has one.
Just wanted to know if you guys could recommend any or let me know if there different types out there.

 

I believe most if not all are made out of plastic. Too $$ to make it out of all alum, and what other material would it be made from?

I wanted one that style for a while, but didn't want to shell out the $$. I got a good deal on my RS4, but I wish I could have found one for that price a year ago..

are you looking for a mesh style, or the bar style ?

 

i have a kamei badgeless grill that is black alumnuim that was on my car when i got it but i replaced it with something else.

What is the difference between the mesh and bar types?

 

The bar type is what the OEM grills look like with the plastic bars running horizontally between the top and bottom of the grill, while a mesh grill has the pattern of a metal fence surrounding a backyard or honeycombed shape like on the RS4 grill. The fence reference is a little "iffy" but I hope you get the idea.
