A4 to S4 instrument cluster

so whats this i hear about swapping clusters?
can i do this with my 1999 A4 FWD Man?
how much will it be for the cluster?

I've looked into doing this a little. The connectors on the back are different. No idea about coding the unit to reinstall. 2000+ I think it would be work, but nothing before 2000.

Hehee.. it's not that easy, no. If your car doesn't have a FIS display, you won't be able to use one either.

sucks my car can't have it....im just jealous that my g/f has one bc i love watching those needles go up and down every time you start the car, just wish the 99 would be able to convert
