I have no idea on the sizes.

Judging it by looks (I've had 18's and 19's on my B5) I would say the first picture are 18's.

If you're interested, check out some used ones off B7 A4 S-Lines. They come stock with these in 18's and I've seen them go for pretty cheap.

Cl = Craigs list..... Its the Swap Sheet of today...LOL

Hate to Hijack this thread but......My newly acquired 96 a4 with 17" s4 rims has 40 series tires and I want to be able to put a 55series tire on. It looks like I have room but does anyone know the maximum diameter I can have and not have Issues?? Looks like you guys throw some monsters on these things! 19's!! Does that leave any room for RUBBER>

From the sounds of it...hell 17's with 60 series should fit!! I dont want to get tires and find I have rubbing!!

Thanks for time.

Lucky for you I have a plus sizing chart on hand lol. Looks like the max you can get on there are 45 series. You might be able to run higher, but bumps and hard turns could be a problem. 45 series are thin enough to look good, but thick enough to absorb most of the road's bumps and stuff.

kayakman13 Thanx! Thats what I thought...the 40s are a bit rough...maybe 45 would be fine!

What is the max if I go back to a 16 wheel.....55's to 60's like with what they came originally with?

Thanks!!

I also dont want the speedo to be too off either. may just go back to original wheels. there are sets all over the place or go new. Hmmmmmmmmmm

40 is what I currently have on my 18's setup.

45 is what should really go on 17's.

16" says 55. I'm under the assumption that if you OD (overall diameter) remains constant your speedo/ABS/whatever else wont be affected.
