Hi

I have a 96 a4 2.8l. Was going to work today morning and this came up...



Can somebdy please advise on what needs to be done......I was on the move and i didn't have my parking breaks on, but the break light still came up along with the ABS light......

BTW....I recently got new ABS sensors on my car......

Check your fluid before assuming anything. But after you see the fluid level is ok, assume that it's your ABS control module. You can get them rebuilt or this:

Make sure you match the part #

You could get a used one, but it happens to all of them eventually.

Just checked the fluid level...everything is fine.....and i recently got my ABS sensors replaced........So planning to get new set under warranty....Just couldn't understand why the brake light is on......Is it usual for the brake light to come on when ABS sensors go bad???

The ABS and BRAKE light simultaneously along with the absence of functioning ABS is a tell tale sign. Get your ecu scanned for the related fault code to confirm it before fixing it.

Just PMed CAB about it.....I don't have a Vag-com and wanted to buy one off the ebay........he suggested me to buy the one from ross tech..but i cannot spend much money on it.......will look around to see if i can find some one that has it ......Do u still stay in ohio?? I live in toledo.
