abs fail

Default abs fail

hey yesterday I went to a brunos audi and vw in middle village they are german and very good mechanics they vag com my abs and my abs modual and it came up thats its bad they told me they would send it in to get rebuilt/repaired but I have to leave my car in the shop for a week ... Does anyone know a place that sells rebuilt abs or a place where i can send my abs to get repaired .. But the main reason I'm aksing this is not because the price was high the guys are charging 500 including labor but I need my car for my job I can not be with out it for a week would I b able to drive me car without the abs modual inside bcuz its not working anyway and I'm driving ? If its imporant I drive a 00' audi a4 1.8t Q

yes you can drive your car without abs. it's that thing by the washer fluid that has a bunch of lines running in/out of it. the rly big electrical harness connects to the module. correct if i'm wrong though. since you don't need to pass inspection, just wait untill you get the time or take some time off work. not sure where it can be taken for repair though

you can also do a swap....they send you outa working unit and you send your old unit after putting in thethe workingone...this is whatI did...so no down times
