Default ABS Light and Brake Light Won't go off

I am a new owner of a 1997 A4 2.7 Quattro. The brake lines in the rear and also the brakes were replaced but the sensor light for both the ABS and brakes remains on. Is there a reset button someplace? I am not familiar with Audi and hope to learn a lot in these forums. I have all the original manuals for this vehicle and want to enjoy without a lot of expense by bringing this to a garage repair shop. Is it ok to Ignore these messages because the brakes seem fine? Thank you in advance for any ideas to turn them off!

Means your ABS module is toast, have it rebuilt from modulemasters.com or cheapabs.com

It is okay to continue driving like that. Just means you won't have ABS.

Scan the ABS unit for codes in order to see if it's the ABS module or if there is a wiring problem.
