Default ABS Light Solid - Not Seeing Codes - Quick Questions

My ABS light usually comes on after a minute of driving or so, but not always. Sometimes it will go off while driving or once I turn the car off.

After researching a little bit, I am guessing I need to have it sent to Module Master to be repaired. I had the codes scanned at Autozone, but their reader didn't pick up anything. I could try to get a VCDS lite installed on my computer to check if necessary.

Before I was having an issue with a wheel speed sensor causing the ABS to engage (without the light) under braking under 2 mph, barely moving, very rarely. This has not happened for a while now. I was wondering if they could be related in anyway.

Also, does removing the ABS module require bleeding the brake lines before reinstalling? It doesn't seem so, but I want to double check.

Thanks

Guys? If it seemed like I knew what I was talking about, I really didn't. Ideas?

Removing the ABS module doesn't require any bleeding of the brakes since you are only removing the electronic part of the module. If you want, you could even drive the car without the module installed if I remember correctly. ABS codes won't pop up on the Advanced Auto scanner since it is for CELs only. You'll need to use a VAGCOM in order to see what the ABS is saying. However, if you can't communicate with ABS at all through VAGCOM, then your module is probably shot and in need of a rebuild.
