Yep everything will work just like it is now, just cover everything while your module is getting rebuilt - follow the DIY available @ audidiy.com for ABS controller replacement. Your car will act the same as it is now.
Got my ABS module back from Modulemaster.com on Tuesday, threw it in on Wednesday night and like magic my ABS/Brake light was gone. Only issue I has was the washer bottle didn't seem to want to go back in there, but once I got it started the right way it slid right in to place.

Yep, that is exactly right.

did it,
Module Masters were very nice, and super quick.

BTW, you do not need to disconnect the washer fluid, just pull out the sensor plugs, drop it down, and support it on a tool box or something. Much less mess.

My A6 has the same problem. You can drive your car with the unit removed, just take care to tape some plastic around the connector to keep it clean and dry. If your ABS light is flashing you probably do not have anti-lock brakes(mine work intermediately)but your car is still safe to drive, you do not have to break into the brake fluid to remove the ABS ECU. If you do rebuild your own give the rest of us some step-by-step instructions.

Mikeeboy82, send me an email if you'd like me to repair yours: sidespar@yahoo.com. I charge less than half of what module masters does.
