Default ABS Module interchangeable?

Are most of the ABS modules between Audi and VW etc interchangeable in the same year group?

I've read some can be rebuilt and some can not.

I'm trying to find one locally in working order before sending it out to get firxed.

Thanks,

Do you know the part number on your module?

Usually ABS modules cannot be exchanged even between Audi modules if they have different part numbers.

I think the hydraulic pumps do have part numbers that are specific to certain ABS modules, but without doing further research I couldn't tell you how the two correlate.
