Default ABS warning light after brake replacement

Hi,

Have just replaced the pads, discs and bearings on my rear wheels. Everything was running fine, braking perfectly, but now the ABS light has started flashing.

The braking is still fine and there is no play in the rear wheels. I used the old ABS sensor plates on the new discs and am pretty sure that I did not damage the sensors. Also, when I turn around sharp corners, there's a loud clacking noise, which is a bit worrying!

Anyone got any ideas??

Is the loud "clacking noise" new w/ the abs light, or was it doing that before?

Sounds like the ABS disc isn't seated right, or is bent, or the sensor opposite of the disc got dirty or something. Take the rear wheels off again and re check.

Is this Quattro or fwd?

Its the fwd. The clacking noise came in at the same time as the ABS light.

I heard a rumour that the ABS needs resetting?

^ +1 check the sensor. That's the most probable problem. hehe
