Default Adding coolant

I feel like this isn't something I should ask, but I am going to anyways.

My coolant was low, so I had a dealer fill it. Well it's low again, so clearly there is a leak. I confirmed this with my mechanic. Anyways I'm too poor to fix the leak (coming from the radiator apparently), so in the meantime I am going to fill up the coolant from time to time until I get around to the leak. I got some coolant concentrate stuff from a VW dealer...

Now do I just mix it with 50% water and pour it right in?

If you bought G12 coolant then yes, just do a 50/50 mix and add as needed.

Btw, two things - what exactly is the cause of the leak? Is it a radiator hose or the radiator itself, or something else? You can probably find it from a part-out here or on www.vwvortex.com. Second, I'm really diggin the bronze wheels. Looks good man!

The leak is from the radiator itself, unfortunately. Thanks for the reply!

PS Glad you like the rims. I hope to one day paint them like that.
My sig is just a photoshop. I got the wheel paint, but haven't painted them yet. The color is close to what you'd see on a '04/'05 STI. i know a lot of people will hate that I'm painting them, but I just don't like silver rims on a gray car...

I'd say you could check with Shokan about a radiator but after they quoted me $45 each for oh-**** handles I was done with them. Check the part-outs. I'm sure you can find one to fit your budget easily enough.

Let 'em hate on the bronze if they want, it'll still look killer. Plenty of silver STi Subies running around on them and they look good. Do it up - it'll be different and cool.

OP, I don't know what engine you have but I found this on the Zine:

http://www.audizine.com/classifieds/...my-audi&cat=20

Leftover parts from a 1.8T and he only wants $50 for a radiator.

They are 17" RS4 replica rims. I got them for like $400 on Ebay.

Cool - hope it works out. You're not horrendously far away - you ought to make the drive for our next meet. You'll have a blast

I'm interested. When is this meet? Where is it in NY? I'm close to Greenwich CT and I heard they do some Audi meets around there, but I've never gone.
