Default Audi A4 '97 leaking water

Hi all, I am a 1st time poster and in need off help.

I would like to know the name of the housing unit onto which the 2 water hose ,exiting the firewall, to the engine is called? I have replaced both hoses and the leak still seems to be coming from that unit. I cannot find the part no.(audi etka) and the unit seems to be in need of replacing.

The leak was minor for a few weeks and the car could have been used everyday by refilling the water container every morning. Suddenly (~1day) the leak went really bad and now on refilling the container, it becomes empty in a few minutes.

Thanks for the help

Those sound like the heater core hoses. It is possible that the heater core is cracked and leaking. The coolant will usually leak from a drain hose or hole in the area below the hoses.

Thanks for the suggestion on the heater core. But I replaced both hoses and the leak persists. I took the car to a guy locally and he determined that it was this unit that has cracked (this is the unit that the 2 hoses lead to). Sadly, he does not supply these parts though and I must source it myself.

The coolant symbol comes on with a beep and oil and engine temps are also above normal after operation for a few km's. (engine > 90)

He tried to stick the unit but was not successful

I looked for heater core on ebay and it does not resemble this unit. I will ask him to check the heater core also.

There is a number on the unit but upon searching, it is the no. for the cooling hose flange plug, not this housing.

I need a part number or any number to locate a replacement part. Please see pics for broken part.

after deeper searching, I determined that the unit is just called the 'cooling hose flange'. On ebay, there are packages with the flange alone or flange + kit (o-ring, clips, plug), which 1 should I buy?
