What's the difference between aeb and awb? Wherever I look parts say "aeb engine only" or awb engine only

 

Think you mean AWM. There are significant differences between them that the 1.8T guys can spell out better than I can.

 

after some googling, awb does exist. so if he is actually talking about awb, im sure he is not on the north american continent. from what i could find, there isnt much of a difference from aeb to awb. now, if you are actually talking about AWM, there are a ton of internal, external, software, ect differences. youll need to clarify

 

Here is what I found in Etka and google. AEB 150 hp from 7/96-5/00. The AWB is not a US engine, and was used in the VW Bora (was not brought into the US) and or VW platform, 106 hp, and from 6/02-5/06.
